Susan Mclennan is a Canadian artist known for her contemporary works that use colourful layers of acrylic skins and resin. Her creative journey began with textiles, manipulating raw natural fabrics without the framework of a substrate grounding her approach to composition. Her experience and passion for the arts motivated her to seek formal education at ECIAD in Vancouver. She accepted an artist residency at TOSH in Qualicum. B.C., where she worked as a full time artist. Today, Susan maintains a full-time studio practice in Victoria, B.C. and is an avid supporter of the arts community
Susan was chosen by Sebastien Laboureau as a “Must See Artist,’’ during her solo debut at Art Basel Week in Miami. International Art Magazine has awarded an honourable mention for the International abstract/experimental challenge with this series published in the American Art Collector.
Susan has exhibited in Canada and the United States in group and solo shows. She is represented in galleries in Miami and New York as well as private collections.
